With our production in focus

Blåkläder owns our own factories in Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and together they produce around 80% of our products. These factories are certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and SA 8000, which we believe we have reason to be proud of!

SA 8000 is a voluntary international standard which regulates the social conditions in the production units. This means that our plants are examined after nine key areas;

• Child labor
• Forced labor
• Health and safety
• Freedom of association and collective bargaining
• Discrimination
• Disciplinary action
• Working hours
• Compensation
• Management

By owning our own factories, we have full transparency in production and can feel secure with the fact that our production is carried out in a nice way with satisfied colleagues at our production units.

This also gives us the possibility to set higher demands, have direct contact with sub-suppliers and have better flow and higher quality in production.

We also have a purchasing office in Bangladesh to secure the local production in Bangladesh.
